Roosendaals Gemengd Koor

The Roosendaals Gemengd Koor is a mixed choir based in Roosendaal, The Netherlands. It started in 1924 and for a long time it focussed on opera, operette and musical. Rik Ghesquière became the conductor in 2009. He broadened the choir’s repertoire with works The Seasons of Joseph Haydn, Sacred Concert by Duke Ellington, The Messiah of G.F. Handel and with different works of L. van Beethoven and W.A. Mozart, including The Magic Flute and the Requiem.

In 2018 ended the cooperation between Rik Ghesquière and the choir. The choir has been taken over by the Flemish musician, Michael Mannes. The transition from one conductor to another will take place on 9 December 2018 with a festive concert at CC De Kring in Roosendaal NL.
